Labour candidate Carole Hart says Nats may not claim seat

Labor Candidate in the Mallee electorate Carole Hart has said that she doesn't believe the seat of Mallee belongs to the Nationals as yet.

With counting far from over - the Labor candidate believes the Nationals Anne Webster may claim the seat with a lot less votes than first predicted and the Liberals candidate Serge Petrovich could possibly swoop in and take the seat.

The Liberal numbers are slowly rising and at time of writing the swing away from the Nationals was at 26.45%.

Serge Petrovich holds 17.64% of the vote, Labors Carole Hart with 15.10% and Independents Jason Modica 10.17% and Ray Kingston 9.48%.

Nationals Anne Webster -celebrating her birthday yesterday - whilst excited also did not say she would say the seat was hers until she received the official call from the Australian Electoral.

The Nationals currently have 29.47% of the vote with 79.76% of the papers counted.
