Grant Hackett OK after a day after disturbance
Swimmer Grant Hackett has reported in that he is only hours after going missing after an altercation at his parent's Gold Coast home.
Grant's father Neville has issued a statement.
"I would think if anyone has seen him to contact the media, the police or the Hackett family," he said.
"He's definitely a missing person and he's mentally disturbed and needs urgent help," Neville Hackett told reporters.
"Grant, let us know where you are, we love you and we want to help you."
Last Year: Swimming great Grant Hackett had a dispute with a passenger on a domestic airline flight.
Collingwood's Gary Pert was on the flight which ended in Hackett being detained by federal police following a reported dispute with another passenger.
But Pert told Neil Mitchell much of what had been reported was wrong.
"The only reason I'm talking about it is because I'm hearing all sorts of bizarre stories about Grant being 'out of control' and causing trouble and being restrained in the flight and it was quite the opposite," he said on 3AW Mornings.
"I think Grant would be the first to admit he was affected by alcohol and was literally asleep or passed out on the flight the majority of the time."
Pert said Hackett wasn't aggressive and there was no argument.
