South Australian driver falls asleep behind the wheel and hits lights
A South Australian woman aged in her late 60s fell asleep at the wheel prior to hitting the traffic lights on the Western Highway -Stawell Rd, Duff street intersection.
The accident occurred at 2.30pm with the woman driving a white mazda - going through a red light to hit the traffic light box on the Duff street side of the intersection.
Police remained on site to direct traffic with the woman said to have not been harmed in the crash - with paramedics attending and giving her the all clear.
One witness said he was turning into Duff street and thought he was going to be hit by the woman who was only stopped due to hitting the traffic lights.
