Western Highway closed after earlier truck fire
Both lanes on the Western Highway between Stawell and Ararat have been reopened.
The highway has been closed for several hours following a truck fire east of Stawell.
Drivers are warned some speed restrictions may be in place as the cleanup continues, which may result in some delays.
LOCAL traffic is being allowed through at the Western Highway closure between Stawell and Ararat, after a truck fire earlier this morning.
All other traffic is still be diverted via Pomonal and Moyston.
Emergency crews are on the scene diverting traffic as the cleanup continues.
It is unclear when the Highway will be completely reopened to all traffic and VicRoads thanks drivers for their patience.

The highway was closed after a truck fire early on Tuesday morning, east of the town of Stawell.
Emergency crews are on the scene and a detour via Pomonal Road and Ararat-Halls Gap Road through Pomonal and Moyston is in place and drivers are warned of significant delays.
The highway will re-open once the truck has been cleared and the road surface has been repaired and made safe again.
The truck fire is under control and there are no reports of any injuries. An investigation is underway to find the exact cause of the incident.
