Severe weather warning issued for the Wimmera
A severe weather warning has been issued for Tuesday, September 11, for the Mallee, Wimmera and South West.
A cold front is forecast to enter the west of the state Tuesday afternoon, moving over central parts by Tuesday evening and clearing to the east on Wednesday morning.
Damaging winds around 50 to 60 km/h with peak gusts of 90 to 100 km/h are forecast to develop in elevated areas with Horsham, the Grampians, Stawell and Ararat expected to be affected.
SES crews are advising locals to move vehicles undercover or away from trees, secure any loose items around your property and to keep clear of any fallen power lines.
